Sales - Property & Casualty Insurance

Overall Responsibilities:

Understanding the needs of our customers & offering complete risk analysis. Generate new policy opportunities from new and existing customers.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Sell various types of insurance policies to businesses and individuals on behalf of insurance companies, including automobile, fire, property insurance or specialized policies such as workers compensation, E & O, D & O and other liability coverages.
  • Seek out new clients and develop clientele by networking to find new customers and generate lists of prospective clients.
  • Select company that offers type of coverage requested by client to underwrite policy.
  • Fully utilizing the agency’s digital marketing systems and virtual profit center and agency management system.
  • Attend meetings, seminars and programs to learn about new products and services, learn new skills, and receive technical assistance in developing new accounts.
  • Calculate premiums and establish payment method.
  • Call on policyholders to deliver and explain policy, and suggest additions or changes.
  • Contact underwriter and submit forms to obtain binder coverage.
  • Customize insurance programs to suit individual customers, often covering a variety of risks.
  • Develop marketing strategies to compete with other individuals or companies who sell insurance.
  • Ensure that policy requirements are fulfilled, including the completion of appropriate forms.
  • Explain features, advantages and disadvantages of various policies to promote sale of insurance plans.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as maintaining records and handling policy renewals
  • Must be California P&C Licensed.

Term of Employment:

  • Full time with 90 day training/review program where you will learn our agencies technology, service and sales processes. Measured weekly sales tracking & review.

Personal Lines Account Executive

Overall Responsibilities:

Provide the best customer service to every existing policy holder and generate new policy opportunities from existing and new customers. Handling payments, answering questions about their policy and creating opportunities for them to save money by combining policies. To embrace every opportunity to work network and hunt for commercial and personal lines business both from our current clients and new clients, while leveraging digital marketing strategies (training provided) and traditional marketing efforts.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Ensure the customer understands the answers to the questions you are providing them.
  • Service those who have existing policies with our agency.
  • Answer the phone when needed and returning phone calls in a timely fashion.
  • Simply stop and listen to your customers in order to build a solid relationship in
  • order to get them the best coverage and the best rate and to make that customer a fan of our agency.
  • Gathering emails, rounding out policies and asking for referrals are job requirements.
  • Sales which includes bundling policies and gathering referrals from current customers.
  • Generating opportunities through marketing programs such as (Refer a Friend, Just Ask, Partners Program, Social Networking, email marketing). Maximizing each contact as a sales opportunity.
  • Once Commercial business is landed, open the door for personal lines opportunities.
  • Inputting all leads/clients into our digital marketing system and updating the VPC tool daily.

Qualifications:

  • Must be California P&C Licensed.
  • Personal Lines Account Executive MUST have Mercury experience.
  • Knowledge of Hawksoft Management System.
  • Strong sense of client relations.
  • Great organizational skills.
  • Great phone skills.
  • Aptitude for technology.
  • Relationship building skills.
  • Ability to multi task.
  • Sales attitude if not experience.
  • Total understanding of the opportunities to cross sell, round out clients and the importance of asking for referrals.
  • 100% of the time a positive attitude; Can do anything attitude.
  • Willingness to work indepently and with a team.
  • Do what it takes to meet the customer’s true needs.
  • 2 to 3 years insurance experience.

Relevant Work Experience:2 to 3 Years; Must be California P&C licensed

Account Manager Commercial Insurance

Overall Responsibilities:

To embrace every opportunity to work network and hunt for commercial and personal lines business both from our current clients and new clients, while leveraging digital marketing strategies (training provided) and traditional marketing efforts.

  • Obtaining carrier quotes
  • New business
  • Renewal business
  • Servicing existing book of business
  • Cross-selling existing clients
  • Selling to new clients
  • Processing endorsements
  • Completing new & renewal applications
  • Certificates of insurance
  • Binder preparation
  • Billing

Term of Employment:

  • Full time with 90 day training/review program where you will learn our agencies technology, service and sales processes. Measured weekly sales tracking & review.

Qualifications:

  • 5-7+ years of experience as a Commercial Insurance Account Manager
  • Active Commercial P&C Insurance License
  • Broad knowledge of commercial insurance forms
  • Professional demeanor and great communication skills
  • Experience with Hawksoft management system a plus
  • Outgoing personality a plus

Relevant Work Experience:  5 to 7 Years; Must be California P&C licensed

  • Job Status: Full Time Employee

Social Networking Engineer Internship

Overall Responsibilities:

Content is king. To work diligently to give our agency a presence on all social networking arenas including but not limited to: Blogging, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Work with all aspects of our agency to effectively market and promote agency and industry news/success stories.
  • To educate the modern consumer about the Independent Agency
  • To creatively find new outlets and opportunities for our agency to advertize and promote online.
  • To be consistent and professional in all communications.
  • Write at least 5 blogs per week.
  • Create a system to integrate social networking into every area of our agency.

Qualifications:

  • Sales aptitude if no work experience.
  • High aptitude for technology and social networking sites.
  • Exceptional writing ability.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Advanced understanding of proper grammar, spelling and the ability to self edit.
  • Can do anything attitude.
  • Willingness to work with a team.
  • Professional and creativity.
  • Understanding of how to utilize social networking to market and promote in a business environment.
